Privacy Policy

    Last updated: February 2026

    1. Introduction

Glyph ("we", "us", or "our") is a product of Socialocca. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the Glyph web application at glyphboards.com (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

    2. Information We Collect

    Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. You may optionally provide a display name and profile avatar. This information is used to identify your account and personalize your experience.

    Board & Content Data

We store the content you create — including board names, messages, display settings, and uploaded logos — to provide the Service. This data is associated with your account and stored securely.

    Analytics Data

When your boards are embedded on external websites, we collect anonymized view data including approximate geographic region (country code), referring URL, and a non-identifying session hash. No personally identifiable information is collected from your board visitors.

    Usage & Technical Data

We use Google Tag Manager to collect aggregate usage analytics about how users interact with the Glyph website. This may include pages visited, session duration, and browser type. This data is used to improve the Service.

    Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number or full payment details. We receive confirmation of successful transactions and your Stripe customer ID to manage your subscription. Stripe's privacy policy governs their data collection: stripe.com/privacy.

    3. How We Use Your Information

    • To provide, operate, and maintain the Service
    • To manage your account and subscription
    • To process payments and send transactional emails
    • To display analytics for your boards (Premium/Agency plans)
    • To improve and develop the Service based on usage patterns
    • To communicate with you about updates, support, and policy changes
    • To detect and prevent fraud or abuse

    4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Service, including:

    • Stripe — for payment processing
    • Google — for analytics (via Google Tag Manager)
    • Supabase — for database and authentication infrastructure

We may also disclose your information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Glyph, our users, or the public.

    5. Embedded Boards & Third Parties

When you embed a Glyph board on an external website, anonymous view data (see Section 2) is collected from visitors to that page. You are responsible for disclosing this to your website visitors as required by applicable law. We do not use this data to identify individual visitors or build profiles.

    6. Data Retention

We retain your account and content data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as billing records). Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely.

    7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@socialocca.com. We will respond within 30 days.

    8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), row-level database security, and secure authentication. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

    9. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session, remember preferences, and collect analytics data. By using the Service, you consent to our use of cookies in accordance with this policy. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect some functionality.

    10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.

    11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
